Wavefront Sentinel IDS Demo Week from 6 to 10 May 2024

Wavefront is delighted to announce that we are once again running our Sentinel IDS LIVE demonstration week on the south coast of England in from 6 to 10 May.

Our latest generation of Sentinel IDS, the world’s most deployed Intruder Detection Sonar is capable of detecting, tracking and classifying underwater targets including drones.

Sentinel IDS is the world’s most deployed intruder detection sonar and is used globally to protect critical national infrastructure, ports and harbours, military operations and ports, private and commercial yachts, commercial vessels and waterside properties.

Sentinel automatically detects, classifies and tracks subsea threats approaching your protected area or asset, such as a diver, swimmer delivery vehicle or unmanned drone. Our latest generation IDS, Sentinel 2, adds advanced Simultaneous In-band Active and Passive Sonar capability (SInAPS®) to identify and protect, at ranges of up to 1500m for mini-subs and divers.

Demonstrations will include live detection and tracking of highly trained divers using simultaneous active and passive sonar. We will also demonstrate some of the feature enhancements and developments that the team have been working hard on for the past 12 months, these include;

  • Multiple head deployment with Sentinel’s sophisticated Super Inheritance tracking across sonar heads (Subject to final approval from Portland Harbour Master given specific day to day vessel movements)
  • Mobile and fixed deployment options
  • Integration of Bearing And Range To Target (BARTT) with a mobile device to deliver target location and tracking data to mobile personnel in real-time

Sessions will be booked as either AM or PM with our Sentinel IDS experts on hand to discuss your specific projects and applications.
