Following exhaustive sea trials in December 2023 Vigilant 600 Forward Looking Sonar (FLS) is now moving into production with the first delivery in early Q2 2024.
Excellent seabed mapping & in water obstacle detection
The system’s performance was excellent achieving seabed mapping and in water obstacle detection up to 600m in front of the vessel. Wavefront’s Research Director, Dr Rob Crook said ‘This is a significant step-forward for our Vigilant family of products. Vigilant 600, joins our 1000 and 1500 models and will now provide our customers with the ideal FLS for smaller yachts, SDV’s and XLUUVs.’
